Michele

Michele

Michele is a native Chicagoan who lived in Bucktown long before it became hip to do so. She is “lifelong” learner who has studied art, archaeology, business, interior design, Spanish and a few dozen other things over the years. Perhaps the only thing more varied than her educational background is her professional experience. She’s spent time working in a number of different industries: retail (Erewhon Mountain Outfitters), manufacturing (SRAM Corporation) and marketing communications (Golin/Harris) among others.
A 2004 graduate of The Chicago School of Massage Therapy, Michele is certified to provide several different types of massage therapy, including Deep Tissue, Prenatal Massage, Sports Massage that includes stretching and mobilization, and Ashiatsu Oriental Bar Therapy. Michele chose to pursue a career in massage therapy because she never felt completely comfortable in a “desk job,” which didn’t allow enough opportunity for movement and physical activity. She enjoys the opportunities to focus on just one individual client’s needs and help them to feel better, to decrease their pain and improve their overall sense of well-being. In Michele’s opinon, a healthy person is a happy person and she likes being able to make a positive contribution to society in a direct, “hands on” manner…one happy person at a time.

When she isn’t working, Michele enjoys hiking, biking, sketching, painting, gardening, writing, cooking and ignoring the television. She also loves yoga and practices adamantly…in order to maintain herself as a happy person.
